Could five guests be set to Spice up royal wedding?

IT seems there might be a touch of Spice – not to mention a sprinkle of girl power – at the royal wedding in May.

For the Spice Girls – Baby, Sporty, Scary, Ginger and Posh – are apparently on the guest list for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s nuptials.

Mel B, also known as Sporty Spice, has said that they have been invited to the wedding – and even hinted that they could be performing at the event on May 19.

Asked on US talk show The Real whether she knew anyone invited to the ceremony, the 42-year-old star said: ‘Yeah, I’m going … I don’t know if I should’ve said that.’ Then, when pressed on if she knew any others on the guest list, the singer added: ‘Well us five Spice Girls … why am I so honest?’

Pushed for details by host Loni Love about what the invitation looked like, Mel B – full name Melanie Brown – said: ‘That’s getting too personal if I actually describe it.’ However, she did reveal that it came in a box before insisting: ‘I’m not saying any more! I’ve said enough.’ But, when asked about the possibility of a royal performance, she said: ‘This is where I’m just like … I need to go. I’m going to be fired!’

Last month, it was reported that the girlband had signed contracts worth £10million each for a string of reunion shows.

A spokesman for Kensington Palace last night declined to comment.
