Fern Britton: BBC ‘crazy to cut pay of male stars’
THE BBC is wrong to cut the pay of its top men to achieve equality, says Fern Britton.
‘I don’t think it’s necessarily the right thing to suddenly reduce the men’s money — that’s crazy,’ claims the former This Morning presenter, who denies walking out of the ITV show because she found out that cohost Phillip Schofield was earning more. ‘That was a story that was put out to discredit me.’
Britton also revealed she experienced unwanted sexual advances.
‘I was being welcomed to a programme and a very famous man was there and, after lunch, he said to me: “Well I wonder how long it will be before I’m having an affair with you because I do have a very big ****.” ’
