STRANGE notices appeared in Argentina, saying that anyone born between 1975 and 1980 who felt they were in the wrong family should contact the Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo. Five hundred children had been snatched from their families by the military in the Seventies; many pregnant women were imprisoned until they gave birth, then they were killed and their babies given to childless military families. The Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo campaigned — and still campaign — to find these lost children; the drama PACT OF SILENCE (RADIO 4, 2.15PM) tells the story of one young woman who discovers that she is one of them.
COUNTRY band Little Big Town have been singing songs of the brave but brokenhearted since
