Price of betrayal

-

I AM one of the betrayed former Labour voters in the North-East.

After the change in stance over the customs union, I will not be voting Labour again. It is a betrayal of the majority who voted in the referendum to leave the EU.

London voted to remain in the EU and, as is usually the case, what London wants, London gets. But there will be a price to pay by Northern and Midlands Labour MPs at the next general election. I feel let down, and after voting Labour for 40 years, I am considering voting Tory — which would have my father spinning in his grave.
