KEITH, THE ONE-WOMAN

RICHARDS prides himself on being a one-woman man. He was with model and actress Anita Pallenberg for ten years, having two sons and a daughter together.

He and American model Patti Hansen will shortly celebrate 40 years (and two daughters) together, while Jagger’s well-charted love life has been rather more eventful, resulting in eight children by five women, and too many lovers to count. Richards believes Jagger’s problem is that he has never been able to ‘handle chicks’, a comment that may be rooted in the animosity resulting from Jagger’s on/ off affair between 1969-1971 with Pallenberg while she and Richards were together.

Richards wrote the Stones’ hit Gimme Shelter while waiting for Anita to return to his bed from Jagger’s — and the pain is evident.
