£25k raid... right by police station

-

A COMPANY boss says detectives showed ‘little interest’ in a £25,000 burglary from her business – even though it’s right opposite their police station.

Caithy Walker, 34, said her digital marketing company faced losing vital business when thieves made off with six computers, a 52in TV, cameras and jewellery after forcing shutters and smashing a window at the firm in Bury.

It was said to be one of at least three similar raids in the area that night.

But Mrs Walker, who also writes a blog for runners, said she was still waiting to speak to an officer ten days after the break-in on February 22.

‘We have not had any contact from police. Whitefield Police Station is opposite. I could throw the brick that went through our window over there.’

She said the burglary made her feel anxious, adding: ‘It feels like we have been violated. It could have been worse – no one has been injured.’
