INVESTEC says investors should buy Spire Healthcare despite disappointing sales.

This week, the private hospital provider reported a 7.4pc drop in earnings as its chief financial officer, Simon Gordon, announced plans to step down.

But Investec said: ‘We feel it is making the necessary changes to lower its exposure to NHS revenues.’

SELL THIS: Foxtons

ANALYSTS at Peel Hunt believe investors should sell Foxtons as the firm struggles with a slowing property market.

The estate agent had a tough week, reporting a 26pc fall in sales and 11pc dip in revenues last year as London’s property market stuttered.

Peel Hunt said: ‘We expect challenging market conditions to persist for some time and continue to see downside risks.’
