Tat’s not clever … Emma comes armed with grammatical error
SHE is the right-on star with a degree in English Literature from Brown University – one of America’s most prestigious seats of learning.
But it seems basic grammar caught out Emma Watson at the Oscars as she showed off a new political tattoo with a rather glaring error.
The British Harry Potter star, 27, posed in a sleeveless black gown, clearly hoping to make a statement with the message on her right arm.
But the tattoo – a nod to the Time’s Up movement to end sexual harassment – read ‘Times Up’, missing the apostrophe. Luckily for Miss Watson, who played Hermione Granger in the film series, the inscription is just a temporary transfer. A viewer commented online: ‘Times Up? Without an apostrophe? Might want to look into a refund for that Brown University bachelor’s degree in English Literature.’
A source close to the star confirmed the tattoo was temporary, but refused to elaborate.
