THEY KNOW BEST!

THEY like to tell us everything we should and shouldn’t do THEY call themselves the experts and they lecture me and you. THEY say they know what’s good for us, in language often terse But later contradict themselves and tell us the reverse! Now nothing is above remark, no stone is left unturned, THEY spread their wisdom far and wide until their thoughts are learned. But who are THEY, these faceless ones, pontificating so? If ever there’s a vacancy I’d like to have a go. It can’t be very difficult, like sitting on the fence, All that is needed for the job, is good old COMMON SENSE!
