Ready for a close-up?

MObILE phone cameras distort people’s faces, making a nose look 30 per cent bigger (Mail), because they have a wide-angle lens.

They are fine for taking pictures of sunsets or the children, but it’s not flattering for portraits. The cameras also bend pictures of architecture, documents and framed pictures shot in galleries into unhelpful shapes.
