-

MICHAEL GRADE, 75. Lord Grade, son of a theatrical agent and nephew of the founder of ITV, has been BBC chairman and executive chairman of ITV. The red braces- wearing, cigarsmoking executive (pictured) scrapped Doctor Who in 1989 and was dubbed the ‘pornographer-in-chief’ for the racy shows he commissioned at Channel 4. CHERYL BAKER, 64. The London-born singer and TV host is an ex-member of Bucks Fizz, who won Eurovision in 1981 with Making Your Mind Up. Baker says of its famous skirt-ripping routine: ‘Every day, someone will ask me to rip my skirt off — at the supermarket, at the train station, wherever. Someone once offered me £500 to do it but I’m generally wearing trousers.’
