Kate Bush makes 19-year- old son company director
When Kate Bush returned to live performance for the first time in 35 years, she said it was her son Bertie who inspired her comeback.
now Bertie, 19, has been rewarded with a role in the singer’s business empire that controls her fortune.
he has been made a director, joining Kate and her guitarist husband Daniel McIntosh as the board members of her company noble and Brite. Details of his appointment have just been revealed in new accounts for the company, which show it made more than £500,000 in a year in which Bush has been largely inactive.
Retained profits in the company went up from £570,000 to just over £1 million in the 12 months to May 31, 2017.
The company had assets of £1.6 million — including £1.2 million in cash — but owed creditors £600,000, including £175,000 in corporation tax.
