Speedy health check

-

THANK you so much for the Mail’s awareness campaign on prostate issues. After making an appointment through my GP, i was booked into Guy’s Hospital within two weeks.

i was pleased and surprised by the speed with which i was dealt: i was seen by four nurses for a variety of checks within 90 minutes.

A few days later i received a text message inviting me for an Mri scan on a sunday.

that’s a hard act to follow for any professional organisation. VICTOR DAVIES, London SE3. THE NHs has rejected a survey of patients who have difficulty in contacting their doctors’ surgery, stating it has invested £200 million in GP services (Mail).

it took me 36 attempts this week to get through to my surgery. i was then told the doctor i normally see had no availability for the rest of this month and was then on holiday for two weeks over Easter.

there are eight doctors at this practice, but the first one i can see is not available until March 26. CHRISTINE HILL, Nottingham.
