Proud of Gap Mums

-

I ENJOYED the article about being a Gap Mum — when there is a large age difference between your children.

My daughter, who is 45, has six children. the oldest is 25 and in the Army and the youngest is four and has just started primary school.

Her 21-year- old daughter has a baby of her own, her son of 19 is in full-time employment, a boy aged 15 is in secondary school and a tenyear-old boy is in primary school.

By the time the youngest moves on

to secondary education, my daughter will have been a primary school ‘playground mum’ continuously for 28 years!

They are all well-behaved, well-mannered, loving children with a strong family bond. I am very proud of them all — and their mum.

WENDY SINGLETON, Rishton, Lancs.

My brother was born 17 years before me. Did my mother have the longest headache in history or did my father get his memory back?

JOE HILL, St Agnes, Cornwall.
