Posh seeks help from ex-Chloe boss

-

VICTORIA Beckham has appointed fashion industry veteran Ralph Toledano as chairman of her clothing company as she battles to turn it around.

Father-of-three Toledano, 66, spent more than ten years as chief executive at luxury French fashion house Chloe. He joins Beckham’s company from the governing body for the French fashion industry, where he served as president from 2014.

His appointment comes after the former Spice Girl’s fashion empire saw losses for the year to December 2016 almost double to £8.5m. Sales were relatively flat at £36.4m compared with £36.9m a year earlier. Husband David Beckham dipped into his own company’s earnings to help the business, injecting £19.3m, up from £3m a year earlier.

Victoria Beckham has stores in London and Hong Kong and is stocked by Harvey Nichols and Selfridges in the UK. Coats sell for around £2,250 with handbags retailing for up to £1,500 online.
