AIRBUS JOB FEARS
AIRCRAFT manufacturer Airbus is to slash thousands of jobs as it suffers lack of demand for some planes.
Up to 3,700 jobs across the UK, France, Germany and Spain could be affected after running into manufacturing issues.
It will cut production of its A380, the world’s biggest passenger plane, and A400M, Europe’s biggest military aircraft project.
Airbus employs 6,000 people at its wing production plan in Broughton, North Wales, and around 4,000 in Filton, north of Bristol.
It hopes to avoid compulsory redundancies in the UK but 450 roles could be cut.
