Pedalling innuendo
IRRESPECTIVE of what medication Sir Bradley Wiggins did or did not take, the way the House of Commons select committee report was produced was appalling.
The professional anti-doping body UKAD covered the same ground with full co- operation from Team Sky and Sir Bradley and found no evidence to pursue the matter.
Then MPs with little relevant experience or qualification found people prepared anonymously to produce all kinds of accusations damning the team and Wiggins in
particular — and accepted their word without any supporting facts.
Sir Bradley was given no opportunity to put his side of the story until after the report had been published.
We need a public, transparent review of the facts rather than innuendo.
