Joe’s back in to lift World Cup hopes

- By GEORGE CLARKE

JOE HART has been handed a chance to stake his claim for a World Cup spot when West Ham host Burnley today. The on-loan goalkeeper has not played in the league since November, with David Moyes preferring Adrian. But having lost their last two games 4-1, Moyes will turn to the 30-year-old Hart (left) this afternoon. ‘Joe Hart will start,’ said Moyes. ‘I’ve said all along (Joe’s) been good, but you have to play well. If there were no problems I wouldn’t have made any changes.’ The match offers the 75-cap goalkeeper a chance to earn a place in England’s squad — which is announced on Thursday — for this month’s friendlies against Holland and Italy.
