Happy and glorious – well, at least Meghan is!

PERHAPS she was excited for her first official engagement with the Queen – or maybe she’s just used to posing for the cameras.

But Meghan Markle could certainly teach her soon-to-be in-laws a thing or two about looking cheerful.

While Prince Harry’s fiancee kept a smile on her face during a Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey yesterday, the same could not be said for the senior royals.

The Queen, Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge all appeared stony-faced during the televised event.

In an elegant cream and navy ensemble by one of Princess Diana’s favourite designers, Amanda Wakeley, Miss Markle, 36, looked part of the family.

She even joined in with the National Anthem, though some guests suggested she was hesitant at first despite the lyrics being printed in the order of service. Kensington Palace refused to say whether the US-born actress had been revising God Save The Queen ahead of her wedding on May 19.

The Queen, who sees the Commonwealth as one of her greatest legacies, ensured her family were out in force for the occasion, extending an invitation to her grandson Harry’s fiancee.

The Duchess of Cambridge did not accompany the Queen on an official engagement until several weeks after marrying Prince William. But the elderly sovereign is keen for Harry, 33, and his bride to take on a new role in the Commonwealth, the Mail understands.
