Poldark star lets her (pink) hair down

POLDARK star Gabriella Wilde appears to be rebelling against her straitlaced image in the hit BBC drama.

Having finished filming the fourth series, in which she plays snooty beauty Caroline Penvenen, the 28year- old showed she’s ready for a new look when she posted this picture online.

The transformation sees the mother-of-two, who is married to musician Alan Pownall, ditch her natural blonde hair — worn in conservative 18th-century fashion for the show — for tousled pink locks. Despite her outlandish style choices, Gabriella insists she’s incredibly shy. ‘ I still have friends who can’t understand how I could be an actress because normally I’m quite introverted,’ she says. ‘It was never a route I had expected to go down.’
