Too lenient

I was horrified to read of the cruelty and suffering inflicted on innocent animals in Bowood Farm’s abattoir (Mail).

as far as the boss, william woodward, being sentenced to just 20 weeks in jail, that means being in prison for only ten weeks. surely he should have been imprisoned for two years and also been banned from working in a slaughterhouse again.

Those inflicting the suffering are clearly evil and should have been jailed; the suspended sentences handed down are no deterrent at all. The judiciary in this country is too soft.
