Sir
Michael Caine, who celebrated his 85th birthday yesterday, longs for the Sixties because people were much better at communicating. ‘if i wanted to discuss something with a producer, i’d have to go to a restaurant. We’d have dinner and we’d discuss it,’ he says. ‘Now, you sit at home and they send you a script on your telephone, you know what i’m saying? ‘i think the internet is the most amazing thing and i use it like hell myself. But what it was with the Sixties was personal communication.’
