That takes the cream
WHY do sparrows and blue tits not attack milk bottle tops as they once did, asks a reader. They wanted the fat/ cream on the top of the unhomogenised whole milk and have no interest in the milk alone.
I’m sure if we reverted to regular bottles of full cream, the birds would soon suss it out. The fact that they know that the present contents are of no interest is amazing in itself.
