Equifax insider trades

-

A FORMER top manager at the scandal-hit credit reference company Equifax has been charged with insider trading.

Jun Ying, 42, allegedly ditched more than £700,000 of stock shortly before the firm revealed a massive data breach, sending shares down sharply.

The US Securities and Exchange Commission claimed Ying sold out after discovering the business had been hacked.

Equifax said it sacked Ying after finding out what happened. It is claimed he went online to look up what happened to rival Experian’s shares when it was attacked, and sold his stock an hour later.
