EDITED extracts of disturbanc­es noted by Jools Holland during 2017 Friday, April 7, 7.30pm to 7.58pm: Very noisy group outside. Closed windows, but still audible. Between 11pm and 11.50pm shouting continues. Mrs Holland finds it difficult to sleep. Sunday, April 9, 3.30pm to 3.40pm: Noisy group has gathered with swearing as we bid farewell to 80th birthday group.

Saturday, April 15, 3.10pm: Live music audible with noisy crowd. Disturbing peaceful walk in garden. Monday, April 17 (Easter Monday)

7.22pm to 7.50pm: Karaoke/live music is audible with bedroom window open and shut. How Sweet It Is To Be Loved By You, You’re Too Good To Be True, and Delilah with crowd singing along.

Saturday, April 29, 2.58pm: Noisy crowd audible from outer part of garden. This disturbs walk with guests. A teenage wedding. I Am A Believer was noted.

Saturday, May 6, 7.44pm: Patron noise is audible in bath with window shut.

Sunday, May 7, 8.30am to 9.45am: At 9.20am, small stones were thrown over wall (probably by small children) on and next to my mother who was being taken to church by a neighbour. Tuesday, May 9, 3.54pm: Outside hubbub.

Wednesday, May 10, 3.54pm: Similar hubbub to previous day with children screaming, inhibiting our enjoyment of garden. Thursday, May 11, 9am to 10am: Noise of people breakfasti­ng outside Barn wakes musicians that are staying with me.

Saturday, May 27, 8.20am: Myself and house guests woken by breakfast noise. Continued noise and disco at 9.39pm when watering flowers.

Sunday, May 28, late morning: Find highheeled shoe has been thrown over wall. It remains unclaimed. Tuesday, May 30, from 3.40pm: Unable to rest as there is an amplified singer

performing amongst other pieces Nobody Does It Better.

July 20, 11.40pm: People talking loudly and someone walking up and down flag stones in high heels.

August 8, midnight. Woken by female shouting and screaming, carried on for 15 minutes. Hard to get back to sleep.

August 28: Small, oblong multi-coloured strips of paper confetti all over front garden.

November 2, 2.15pm: Crowd outside, very loud photograph­er directing people, cheering. 10pm: Live band playing Should I Stay Or Should I Go.
