AUSTRIA BACK IN FOR BARNES

AUSTRIA plan talks with Burnley striker Ashley Barnes (below) in the hope of recruiting him for the national team. Barnes, 28, was able to play in an Under 20 tournament for Austria in 2008 because his grandmother was born in Klagenfurt. He has scored in his last three games and Austria are keen to bring him in according to spokesman Peter Schottel, who said: ‘He’s a type we don’t have up front right now.’
