Shameless Indulgence

NEED something to snap you into a spring mood after the mini Beast from the East? Well, Orange Butterflies (right, £70, available from April at joloves.com) could be the answer.

The fresh, citrus scent was created by British perfumer Jo Malone under her Jo Loves moniker — the company she founded in 2011 after selling her original, eponymous brand to Estee Lauder in 1999 — and is inspired by her favourite holiday destination, the South of France.

Notes of orange blossom, petitgrain (oil extracts from bitter orange trees), mandarin and neroli combine to create an uplifting fragrance. But simply looking at the beautiful bottle, embellished with butterflies, is enough to convince us that warmer days must be soon arriving.
