UK opens doors to Croatian workers
MINISTERS yesterday opened the doors for Croatians to work freely in Britain.
Nationals of the Balkan state could take jobs in the UK without documentation from the end of June. David Cameron used Brussels rules to slap restrictions on Croatia when it joined the EU in 2013, but yesterday ministers said there was insufficient evidence to extend the curbs. The MigrationWatch think-tank called it ‘a capitulation’. Similar restrictions on Romanians and Bulgarians were lifted in 2014.
