Cleaning up with power showers
BUSINESS travellers are snapping up premium Travelodge rooms that include Lavazza coffee machines, complimentary Kitkats and power showers.
The budget hotel operator said its ‘super rooms’, which cost £10 to £20 extra and are on a quieter floor with more amenities, have been a success since they were launched last year. It has 990 super rooms across 20 hotels. They also include a choice of pillows, extra plug sockets and mood lighting.
Travelodge’s sales increased 6.6pc last year to £637.1m as the average price per room increased 2.8pc to £53.19. Profits were up £2.3m to £112.4m.
Peter Gowers, Travelodge chief executive, said: ‘Our continued focus on quality and service is delivering good results.’
