Like father, like son... now Donald Jr is accused of affair with a Playboy model
DONALD Trump Jr is facing claims that he cheated with a blonde singer who posed for Playboy.
The allegations echo claims by Karen McDougal, Playboy’s Playmate of the Year in 1998, that she had a nine-month affair with President Trump in 2006.
Donald Jr’s wife Vanessa has filed to divorce the President’s oldest son after 12 years of marriage.
Insiders blamed his long absences from the family home and their five young children, as well as her discomfort at living in the spotlight.
However, it’s now alleged that their marriage was poisoned in 2011 when Mrs Trump discovered he was having an affair with aubrey O’Day, who he had met when she was a contestant on his father’s reality TV series Celebrity apprentice.
Miss O’Day was a singer who had graced the front cover of Playboy two years earlier. according to reports in the US, Mrs Trump was ‘devastated’ when Donald Jr told her that he planned to leave her for Miss O’Day.
Mrs Trump, a 40- year- old former model, was pregnant with their fourth child, Tristan. However, it is understood the affair only lasted a few months.
Neither Donald Jr, 40, nor Miss O’Day, 34 – who now sings in a pop duo called Dumblonde – have commented on allegations about an affair.
Sources claim they met in various cities and wrote love notes to each other. Us Weekly quoted a source as saying: ‘He would look at her like a piece of meat. But he was equally taken by her intellect. She impressed him a lot on the show. She was smart.’
Insiders told the New York Post that Donald Jr pursued Miss O’Day, assuring her that his marriage was ‘already in the process of dissolving’. The newspaper claimed Donald Sr heard about their relationship and told his son to ‘knock it off’. There was speculation yesterday that Miss O’Day referred to their relationship in a 2013 pop song entitled ‘DJT’, which are Donald Jr’s initials. The song contains the chorus: ‘I hate me for loving you, hate you for letting our love die.’
In a joint divorce announcement, Donald Jr and Vanessa Trump said: ‘We will always have tremendous respect for each other and our families. We have five beautiful children together and they remain our top priority.’
It has since been claimed that Donald Jr treated his wife like a ‘second class citizen’, and she had to ask her mother for cash. He had proposed to her with a ring he got free from a jeweller after agreeing to publicise the business.
Karen McDougal says her affair with Donald Sr started three months after the birth of Mr Trump’s youngest child, Barron, when she met the future president at a poolside party at Hugh Hefner’s Playboy Mansion.
She sued a US magazine company yesterday to be released from a 2016 agreement that stopped her talking about the alleged affair. She says the company, owned by a friend of the President, bought her story for $150,000 (£107,000) and then refused to publish it.
President Trump has denied her claims – as he has allegations by porn star Stormy Daniels that he had a relationship with her during the same period.
