BOOST FOR MOYES AS CARROLL EYES AN EARLY RETURN
WEST HAM striker Andy Carroll is ready to return for the vital Premier League clash with Stoke on April 16. It was feared the striker would be out for the season after he had surgery on his left foot in January. Carroll (below) had a pin inserted into a bone to cure the problem. But he felt able to start running again 10 days ago and went on the club’s training trip to Florida. The plan now is to gradually increase the intensity of his training and, while he is unlikely to be ready to face fellow strugglers Southampton in a week’s time or the clash with Chelsea eight days later, he is in line to return against Stoke.
