I’m going to be a dad, says delighted Dec
HE’S had the toughest week of his career after his presenting partner was charged with drink driving.
But Declan Donnelly has announced he is ‘delighted’ after discovering he is to become a father for the first time.
The 42-year-old presenter was told his wife Ali Astall is expecting soon after he finished filming I’m a Celebrity in December. Last night The Saturday Night Takeaway star posted a picture of their wedding day, and wrote: ‘Just wanted to say thank you for all the lovely messages. The news has sneaked out a little earlier than we’d hoped but Ali and I are delighted to be expecting our first child.’
Miss Astall, 40, is a talent manager who worked as Donnelly’s manager. The pair have told his presenting partner, Anthony McPartlin, who returned to rehab last week and will appear in court next month. Donnelly will host Saturday Night Takeaway on his own this weekend.
