After the rain, nature’s blaze of glorious technicolour

HUGGING the hillside, a vivid rainbow casts an eerie radiance over the surrounding countryside.

The stunning sight was captured by John Caine, who runs a bed and breakfast by Tal-y-llyn Lake in Gwynedd, Wales. Mr Caine, 64, keeps his camera to hand to capture changes in the weather at the beauty spot.

He says some have claimed that the picture looks as if it has been enhanced with computer software, but he insists: ‘I’m a keen photographer but I wouldn’t know where to start with Photoshop.’
