Derby sue fired CEO for £6.8m
SAM RUSH, Derby County’s former chief executive, is being sued by the club for £6.8million. Derby are pursuing Rush, who was dismissed last year for gross misconduct, in a High Court civil action over unauthorised scouting and consultancy agreements, transfer fees, wages and agents’ fees. It is understood that deals involving Rush’s former employers, the Wasserman Media Group, are also being looked into. A spokesman for Rush, who has a £2m counter-claim for breach of contract, said he ‘strongly denies any wrongdoing’. FULL STORY: PAGE 78
