is having to install CCTV and mirrors at its self-service tills to stop people stealing food. Apparently, millions of pounds have been lost since the machines were introduced in 2009.

I wonder, have they ever thought of getting an actual person to scan individual items? This employee could be called — oh, I don’t know — a ‘checkout clerk’.
