Hungry bunny’s a fruit and nut case

-

FREDDIE, my 12-year-old, takes a packed lunch to school every day, and I include a fruit-and-nut snack bar as a healthier option to chocolate-coated ones. The other day, he was dashing off to football just as I was unpacking the shopping. Rummaging through the bags, he grabbed a few things to eat after the match. That evening, when he came through the door, he exclaimed: ‘Don’t buy that brand of cereal bar again, Mum. They were horrible, really dry and chewy.’ I was puzzled as I hadn’t bought any cereal bars from the supermarket. It was only after examining all of my purchases that I realised Freddie had eaten one of the rabbit’s treat bars. Luckily there were no ill-effects — but the rabbit was hopping mad!
