AL ALMOST three years in re real time since the fourth se series ended, the fifth and fin final season of this U.S. co comedy picks up events se several months after the la last episode. Matt (Matt Le LeBlanc) is reluctantly prese presenting an utterly bonkers but enormously popular game show, The Box, which is forcing him to have regular dealings with Merc, his nemesis. Sean and Beverly (Stephen Mangan and Tamsin Greig, pictured with LeBlanc, centre), meanwhile, find themselves working for Sean’s vile former writing partner, Tim — and as for Carol (Kathleen Rose Perkins), well, she’s been going nowhere fast since she left the network. Surely, for all of them, the only way is up?
