Don’t bank on it
TELEPHONE banking is a con perpetrated on the public. Do they ever experience anything other than ‘unusually high customer demand’?
It’s opportunism by greedy banks: let’s close all our branches, get rid of expensive staff, tell the customers they are now in control — which means they have to do the work and accept the risks if things go wrong — and employ a handful of people to answer the phone.
