Snapchat jobs axed

-

THE owner of struggling photo- sharing app snapchat is laying off more staff.

snap’s decision to let 100 staff go comes after it hired thousands of people over the past two years.

It employed almost 3,100 people at the end of 2017, but earlier this month laid off 120. Its sales have disappointed since it went public a year ago, but they suddenly received an unexpected boost last month.

snap’s Imran Khan said: ‘New structures have been put in place for content, engineering, sales and many other parts of snap.

‘These changes reflect our view that tighter integration and collaboration between our teams is a critical component of sustainably growing our business.’
