Walmart insurer deal

AMERICAN retail giant Walmart is reportedly in talks to buy health insurer humana.

the deal would mark a major shift in direction for the firm, which has been busy fending off challenges from online rival amazon. Walmart, the world’s largest retailer, has a market capitalisation of £188bn, and humana of £26bn.

the firms, which both declined to comment, already work together on prescription drugs.
