Smile! It’s the first museum of the selfie
A MUSEUM dedicated to selfies opened yesterday.
The Museum of Selfies in Los Angeles says it offers an insight into what is some see as the epitome of vanity. Co-founder Tommy Honton said: ‘Selfies have a surprisingly rich history and go back as far as people have been making art.
‘Rembrandt did hundreds of self-portraits, Albrecht Durer five, Van Gogh dozens. I mean, they did their portraits too. What’s the difference?’
The museum will be open for two months, but the founders hope to extend this.
