LENNY HENRY: THE COMMONWEALTH KID, 9PM, BBC1

BEFORE the start of the Commonwealth Games on Wednesday (10.30am, BBC1), Lenny Henry makes an emotional and personal journey to the Caribbean to find out where his family came from and how he ended up being British, and to explore the nature of the relationship between the Commonwealth, the Caribbean and Britain. Along the way, he learns about the history of an organisation that is made up of 53 countries and 2.3 billion people, and asks what role — if any — it still has to play in the 21st century.
