BT’s bad call
SINCE the Sixties, I have been a customer of BT. Despite calls from their rivals offering better deals, I have remained loyal. When my landline recently stopped working, I rang for advice. I was told to unscrew the faceplate from the BT box and plug the phone into the test socket, at which point it worked.
I was advised to buy a new faceplate for £3.99 from B&Q or eBay and fit it myself.
Otherwise BT would charge me £120 to come out.
I was so shocked at this ‘take it or leave it’ attitude that I am considering leaving BT. JACK BUTTERWORTH,
