HEART-SHAPED FACE
Sue DurAnt, 52, works in retail and lives in Devon with husband. Adrian, 53, who works for an engineering company, and their four children, aged 12 to 23. I STARTED wearing glasses when I was about 17. They were bright turquoise frames — very Christopher Biggins — and I thought I looked quite wonderful, even though I only wore them for driving.
My biggest frustration is not being able to wear sunglasses. On holiday the kids go mad because I put sunglasses over my glasses, which is apparently embarrassing.
I don’t mind my own glasses, but I’d never wear them to go out. I want someone to tell me that I need a certain pair because they look amazing. I like these new ones from Balmain (£169), particularly the red colour. They make my eyes look wider and are a real statement.
BIANCA SAYS: Sue’s current frames are angular and dark, which are very heavy on her heart-shaped face. She has strong attractive features which can easily carry off Balmain’s statement red glasses. The upward slant of the cat-eye frame is a style that never goes out of fashion.
