Today’spoem IMAGINARY WORLD

-

An imaginary smile, an imaginary kiss, An imaginary voice, an imaginary song. All so easy to imagine, but so hard to reminisce, Reality’s unreal since you’ve been gone. An imaginary bottle of imaginary wine, Two imaginary glasses, an imaginary clink. My imagination runs away with me; I’m thinking all the time. I regret I ever opened that imaginary drink. An imaginary starter, an imaginary meal, Why must I just imagine it? Why can’t it all be real? Ever since you had to leave me, our dreams have all been hurled. I don’t really want to live in this imaginary world. A. Robinson, Frodsham, Cheshire.
