THIS mind-bending four-part science fiction drama, adapted from the multi-awardwinning 2009 novel by British author China Mieville, is going to require your full attention — the plot is so complex that there’s no room to fully explain it here. The story takes place in the fictional Eastern European cities of Beszel and Ul Qoma — which are located in the same area, yet exist as separate and exclusive entities — and follows world-weary Inspector Tyador Borlu (played by David Morrissey, pictured with Mandeep Dhillon) as he investigates the murder of a student. Think Endeavour meets Blade Runner and you’ll get the idea.
