Celeb charity fees? A bit rich!
AFTER the final episode of the Great British Bake Off’s charity series Stand Up To Cancer — where viewers donated cash and bakers offered appearance fees — guest Alan Carr said: ‘100 per cent of that money goes to charity.’
What he, his fellow celebrities and we suckers didn’t know was that presenters Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood, along with sidekicks Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding, all pocketed at least part of their fees.
Leaves a nastier taste than burnt sticky toffee pudding.
