‘Gas leak’ kills two in house

TWO men have been found dead in a house after a suspected carbon monoxide leak. The men, aged 38 and 42, were discovered at the address in Edgware, North-West London, yesterday lunchtime.

Five other people, including two young boys, were taken to hospital for checks, while residents in a neighbouring property were evacuated but later allowed to return. The affected building was ‘multiple occupancy’, said Scotland Yard.

Police said the deaths are being treated as ‘unexplained’ but suspected they might be linked to carbonmonoxide poisoning. No arrests have been made.
