BY JULY 1940, with a Nazi invasion of Britain seeming inevitable, Winston Churchill ordered the creation of a new, secret army made up of fb both soldiers and civilians, whose mission was to go behind enemy lines to disrupt the German military machine. To join this covert organisation, they would have to complete a gruelling training programme; and to get on that, they had to endure an arduous four-day selection process, made up of physical and mental tests. This five-part series follows a group of 21st-century hopefuls as they attempt to pass the student selection board.
