What is reasonable?

THE burglary in South-East London when a man was fatally stabbed has raised the question about what is reasonable force.

Anyone can sit in a court-room and argue the nicer points of what constitutes ‘reasonable’, but when you are facing burglars in your home, ‘reasonable’ is replaced by panic and the survival instinct.
